Death
There is an obituary (date and newspaper not given) for Joel Himes at the Punxsutawney Historical Society, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. "Mr. Himes was a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Himes and was born in Coolspring... He was a member of the Reformed Church... Surviving are the following sons and daughters, his wife preceeding him in death: John, of Knoxdale; Charles, of Youngstown; Harry, of Savannah, Ga; Mrs. Emma Smouse of Detroit; Mrs. Warren Hooper, of Youngstown; Mrs. Albert Manners, and Mrs. James Hobba, of this places (sic)."Endnotes
