Marriage
The obituary for William Reed on Find A Grave gives the name of his second wife as Catherine Hice since she was married first to a Hice according to her great grandson Kenneth Himes. It gives their child's name as E. C. Reed of Reynoldsville, PA. The death certificate for Edgar Charles Reed gives his parents' names as William Reed and Kathryn Wolfgang. Edgar is living with his grandmother Barbara Wolfgang in the 1880 census.William Reed's obituary gives the death date for his first wife as 6 April 1868. Edgar was born 16 December 1870 so his parents were probably married about 1869. William Reed's obituary gives his second wife's death date as 5 August 1876 so he married his third wife Catherine (Reitz) Bechtol after this date.
