Notes
Birth
Since she was baptized on 7 April 1754 and children were usually baptized shortly after they were born during this time period, 1754 is being used as her birthdate. The 1752 birthdate on her tombstone is secondary since it was recorded many years after her birth. Her tombstone was not erected until at least 1864 when Oakland Cemetery was founded. It was probably her grandson William McCoy who provided the information for her tombstone. Her husband was gave her age as 65 years in June, 1820 on an affidavit when he applied for a pension. This would make her born in 1755. This is closer to her actual birthdate of 1754.Burial
Daniel and Deborah McCoy were probably buried somewhere else and their remains were then moved to Oakland Cemetery at a later date or else tombstones were erected there for them without their remains being moved. Oakland Cemetery was not in existence at the time of their deaths.Endnotes
