Individual Details

Sarah MILLER

(From 1800 to 1810 - Bef 1850)

It is not known who Sarah's parents were. There was a Michael Miller and a George Miller each with two daughters 16 to 25 in the 1820 census in Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.

The death certificate for Mary Catherine Hetrick, Sarah Miller's granddaughter, gives her parents names as John Hetrick and Elizabeth Boddorf. Elizabeth (Boddorf) Hetrick was living with Isaac and Harriet Miller in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. Isaac Miller was a son of Joseph Miller and a grandson of Valentine Miller from Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

It is not known if Isaac Miller was a relative of Elizabeth (Boddorf) Hetrick or if it was just a coincidence that she was living with Isaac Miller in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. Elizabeth (Boddorf) Hetrick married Sebastian B. Miller in 1885 after his first wife died. Sebastian B. Miller was born in Switzerland and emigrated to the United States in 1852 according to the 1900 census so he was probably not related to her in any way.
