LIFE
A. Fragment: His kahu, or foster father, was Muli-hele (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 143).
B. Kamehameha held his younger brother in high esteem, as a kapu chief (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 155).
C. He was called by the common people of Hana and Kipahulu, Ke-alii-maikai ("the good chief"), because he treated them well, after invading from Hawaii. He lived at Kapo'ookalani (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 143-144). He was called "Keliionaikai on account of his kindness to the people of Hana, Maui" (Liliuokalani, Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen, p 403).
