LIFE
A. She was joined with Queen Emma's uncle Namakeha (Liliuokalani, Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen, p 50). After his death, she married David Kalakaua (Pukui, Hawaiian Genealogies, p 42).
B. She was Queen-consort (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 132). She was queen during the time of Fornander's writings (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 298). "She was the only woman in Hawaiian history to have been crowned in ceremony" (Oukah, Hawaiian Royal & Noble Genealogies, p 138).
C. She had no children with Benjamin Namakeha or Kalakaua (McKinzie, Hawaiian Genealogies, vol 1 p 31). No children (He Buke Mookuauhau Alii, Hms G13, p 11; Buke ku Auhau Hawaii, G-8, p 12; Alexander, A Brief History of the Hawaiian People, p 230).
D. Conflict: Peabody-Henriques genealogy, Hms G17, p 290 states birth year as 1898.
