LIFE
A. She was born at Kahaluu, Koolaupoko, after the great pestilence of Oahu, in the time of Kamehameha I, and was taken to Hilo, Hawaii, where she was reared, there with her parents and grandparents (Ka Hae Hawaii, 1 October 1856, p 123, Moolelo No S. Hiwauli Ii).
B. She became the mate of Haalou, one of Kamehameha's traveling companions. Haalou was killed and about a month later John Ii joined with her (Ka Hae Hawaii, 1 October 1856, p 123, Moolelo No S. Hiwauli Ii).
C. She had no children with John Papa I'i. They were foster parents of Princess Victoria Kamamalu (Pukui, Hawaiian Genealogies, p 13).
