A. Sister to Neula, so Waoialea is Kiha's aunt (Fornander, Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 72). Elder sister of Pinea (Malo, Hawaiian Antiquities, p 257).
B. "Belonged to an Oahu family of chiefs," (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 1).
C. Possible conflict: Ka Nai Aupuni, 1 May 1908, p 1, Me na Pomaikai o ka Makahiki hou identifies the daughter of Kawaikapu and Haakua as Waiola, whereas the mate of Kiha as Waiolea. They may be 2 different women.
