Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 131 footnote: "Some genealogists state that Keawe and Lonomaaikanaka had also a daughter named Kauhiokaka; others state that she was the daughter of Lonomaaikanaka with a previous husband name Hulu. We are inclined to hold with the latter authorities in this case, for the reason that the chronological necessities of Kauhiokaka's descendents require it."
