LIFE
A. He was "high chief on Maui in the time of Kahekili" (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 214).
B. He was a great warrior, and foster father of Kalanikupule, son of Kahekili (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 143-144).
C. He assisted Kalanikupule in comandeering a ship and its guns in late 1793 (Dibble, History of the Sandwich Islands, p 70). He was likely killed in the battle with Kamehameha at Nuuanu in 1794.
