LIFE
A. He was chief of Waianae, Oahu (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 135) who negotiated peace with Alapainui during his invasion of Oahu (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 1 p 139-140). This peace brokerage between Alapai and Peleioholani, a ruling chief of Kauai who had come to the aid of Oahu, was done in January 1737 as the Maui forces had come to the aid of the Molokai chiefs because of the invasion by Oahu forces (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 71-72).
B. He lived at Waikele, Oahu with his mother and brother Heulu (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 110).
