Herb and Irene were members of Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church. Wally tells how only Norwegian was spoken at home - until Herb started school.
Herb was a carpenter, built several houses, including their own, also made violins and played them. Irene was a hairdresser, then homemaker, played the piano. Both were very hospitable.
