Mabel Leora Thompson

Mabel Leora Lovro was born April 3, 1907, near Hurdsfield, North Dakota, the daughter of Thomas and Mathia (Skorseth) Thompson. She died Monday, December 26, 1983, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 76 years.
Mabel spent her early years and received her education in rural Hurdsfield, North Dakota. She worked for the telephone company in Hendricks, Minnesota. After her marriage to Johnny Lovro on June 6, 1936, in Brookings, South Dakota, they continued to live in Hendricks until moving to Brookings in 1941. They have lived in Sioux Falls since the spring of 1982.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny; four sons: James of Sioux Falls, Elroy of Manhattan Beach, California, Marcus of Slidell, Louisiana, and Marvin of Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters: Mrs. Selma Lindberg of McClusky, North Dakota, and Mrs. Alma Lindquist of Vining, Minnesota, and one brother, Albert Thompson of Harvey, North Dakota.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
