John took over the old farm Bjugstad lower from his father and was use in 1907. In follow the agricultural census in 1865 there are 12 people on the farm which had six horses, 21 cattle, 23 sheep and six pigs. And on the sunny land cultivated both the wheat, rye, barley, mix corn, peas and potatoes.
