"Jay and Christine Bogen with their two children, Pernie, three years old and Lillie, one year old, moved to their farm home about 6 miles southwest of Hendricks in approximately 1912. In 1913 a daughter, Ruby, was born and in 1918, a son, Clifford was born.
Mother passed away in 1932 and that sort of broke up our closely knit family. But that is not the end of the farm. Many families have lived there and enjoyed it since we left. Others who have lived there were Grant Trulocks, Otto Willis, Roy Peirces, and Virgil and Hazel Trulock.
Pernie and Clifford stayed on and farmed for a few years. I kept house for them for a while.
Orris Hexem and his wife, Vivian moved there in 1948 and bought the farm in 1952 and are still living there."[JayBogen with dates.FTW]
