Andrew Bogen Dies at Denver
Andrew Bogen, son of Nels Bogen, residing five miles west of Hendricks, died at a hospital in Denver, Colorado, last Friday, December 30, from consumption. He had gone there for his health, the last time about five years ago. His confinement to the hospital just previous to his death was of about a month's duration.
Last week the family here received a message stating that his condition was serious and Sam Bogen left for Denver immediately, arriving there Thursday, the day before his brother's death. The remains were shipped here for burial, arriving Monday, and the funeral will take place at 1 o'clock this afternoon at Singsaas church, Rev. Ekse conducting the service.
Andrew Bogen was born on the Bogen farm west of Hendricks, May 11, 1877, and was therefore 33 years of age at death. With the exception of the time spent in Colorado in an attempt to buildup his health he had resided here and was consequently well known by most of our people, especially those whom residence dates back a few years.
The deceased is survived by his father; a sister, Mrs. O. Trooien,; and two brothers, Sam and Erick, to whom The Pioneer extends its condolence.
