==Research Notes==Query entitled "Jean Lackey," posted by R. Douglas Lackey 18 Feb 1999 to the RootsWeb Lackey Message Board:There is a Walker family Bible found in the public library in Florence, Alabama. According to the Bible, it was presented to William Walker by his Uncle William Lackey. William Walker's mother was Jean Lackey, a daughter of Thomas Lackey, Jr., who married Mathew Walker.
The significance of this Bible, among other things, is that it provides a birth order and dates for the children of Thomas Lackey, Jr., which is not available in "Ochiltree" or the "Brick Church on Timber Ridge." It also identifies Jean Lackey for the first time, something neither of the two books mentioned do. The dates appear authentic, and indeed, can be matched to other known dates involving this generation of the Lackey family. Jean is the granddaughter of Thomas and Agnes Lackey
