== Biography ==Elizabeth Stewart was the daughter of Francis Stewart, Earl of Bothwell, and his wife Margaret Douglas. She was born in 1590 and was probably the eldest daughter.Paul, p. 172
She married as his second wife, James Cranstoun, of Crailing, county Roxburgh, called Master of Cranstoun. He was the second son of William Cranstoun, 1st Lord Cranstoun, and his wife, Sarah Cranstoun.Cokayne, p. 495
They had 4 children:
#William, succeeded his uncle as 3rd Lord Cranstoun;
#Margaret, married ____Cockburn of Clerkington;#Sara, married after 12 November 1641, Sir Robert Dobie of Stanyhill, she died before 21 December 1691, the date on which her testament was confirmed;
#Isobel, married Sir Gilbert Elliot, of Stobs.Paul, p. 594
Her husband died in 1633 but it's unknown when Elizabeth died.
