They married at Rowley Village (Boxford), they settled in Topsfield, MA across the line from Boxford, were members of church 1729-1748. They owned a negro, Flora, who was bpt. at Topsfield July 9 1741. They moved to Oxford, MA in 1748. He bought 200 acres bounded by the river, north of Leicester, and south by Oxford, MA In 1750 he gave 50 acres to his son Samuel, and in 1752 he gave the remaining 150 acres to his son Noah then 21 years old home. He remained living in one half of the home On May 4 1753 Noah having married, deeded back to his father the farm and to have a interest in his fathers estate. On May 5 1753, Samuel deeded 73 acres of this farm to his son in law , Amos Singletary, Of Sutton, MA .. In 1764 Amos sold it to Elijah Curtis, his brother in law. Samuel Sr. was the proprietor of a hotel in Oxford. The family left Oxford about the time of the American Rev.}
Samuel Curtis bought a tract of two hundred acres of land in Oxford and from 1749 to 1751 kept an inn there. In 1750 he deeded fifty acres to his son Samuel, and in 1752 he gave the remaining 150 acres to his son Noah, reserving one-half of his house.
