=== Note ===BIOGRAPHY: The will of Anthony Barham, the former Burgess of Mulberry Island, Virginia, and at present residing in England; date 6th Sept, 1641. To my wife Elizabeth, good for her to be sent over to Virginia; to my daughter Elizabeth, 100 pounds to be send over to my wife for her use; to my mother Bennett, 5 pounds; to my brother in law Richard Bennett, 5 pounds sister Mrs. Mary Duke, sister Groves 40s, friend Edward Major; gossip William Butler, Mrs. Joane Pierce wife of Mr. William Pierce, god daughter Sara Butler daughter of William Butler . . ." (NEGR VOL. 42 p. 393):: With reference to the persons mentioned in Anthony Barham's will it is important to ascertain who some of them were and where they lived or owned land because Alice Bennett, wife of Thomas Bennett, appears to have resided near them in the Lawne's Creek district and probably on Mulberry Island, if she and her husband removed there when he represented Mulberry Island in the House.:: Bennett's Plantation situated on the Rock Wharf on the present Burwell's Bay, was patented 21 Nov. 1621 by Edward Bennett, a rich London merchant in partnership with his brother, Robert Bennett, and his nephew, Richard Bennett. Richard Bennett became the first Puritan govenor of Virginia in 1652. Thomas Bennett must have come to America before 1624, prior to Governor Bennett's arrival. (The Mangums of VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, TN ARK, TX, UT, by John T. Palmer, PhD, Santa Rosa, Ca. 95409 p. 3):: The Bennetts came to America on the "Sea Flower" in 1622. :: John,:: Thanks ever so much for the Bennett information. Anne Bennett was Anne Barham, 1636. She was the daughter :: of Katherine Filmer and Robert Barham, The grand daughter of Elizabeth Argall,1638 and Edward Filmer, 1566. This lineage of hers continues to go on until it shows her as a direct descendent of Charlemagne, 742-812/13, or Charles the Great of the Franks. It was found on ancestors.com. This would make her the 30th. great granddaughter to Charlemagne, and the 16th, great granddaughter to King Henry, II & Eleanor of Aquitane. There are more relationships to nobility but actually you can probably find this on ancestors.com. My niece is the one finding all this info., so if you cannot find itand are interested, I will try and ask her how she got it. The names are right; as to the number lineage I may have that right or close. I checked out a book from the library called Kings and Queens of England and Scotland which is very precise from the first Kings and Queens of England to Prince Charles. The Plantagenet Dynasty is the Dynasty Anne Barham is related to and if you get the chance to get this book or find in on the Internet under Queen Elizabeth the II's web site I think you will be able to see some of this for yourself. Of course Anne Barham's royal family lineage is just on ancestors.com. "Edmund Plantagenet", 1243/44, (son of King Henry, III and brother to the heir, King Edward was "Anne's lineage" so this is where the royal lineage to Kings and Queens stopped due tothe crown going to Edward, but there continues to be others of nobility, other than Kings and Queens for a while until it just turns into descendants of nobility) & Blanche of Artois, 12

:''Note'': A comment on husband Richard's profile states: "There is no supportive evidence that Richard Bennett, Sr., of Blackwater married Anne Barham. The evidence only proves he married a woman named Anne who was probably the mother of his children." The fine print of [[#Richardson|Douglas Richardson]]'s entry in ''Magna Carta Ancestry'' does not offer evidence of a solid source, and he lists only her brother, Charles, as a Gateway Ancestor:
