:Jul 1247: "[[De_Vaux-60|William de Vaux]], who took [[Ferrers-113|Eleanor]], daughter of [[Ferrers-2|William de Ferrers]], one of the heirs of [[Marshal-22|W. Marshal]], earl of Pembroke, to wife without the king’s licence, has made fine with the king by 200 m. for having seisin of the lands which fall to her by inheritance of the inheritance of the aforesaid earl, of which he is to render 25 m. at the Exchequer of Easter in the thirty-second year, 25 m. at Michaelmas next following, and 50 m. thus from year to year at the same terms until the aforesaid 200 m. are paid to the king."
