== Biography ==Amanda was the daughter of [[Buskirk-205|Lawrence Buskirk]] and [[Norton-6574|Mary Norton]]. Her birth year is estimated from her 1840 marriage to Jacob B. Morris while her family was residing in Adams County, Illinois. Her death occurred prior to the 1850 census when her children were listed in the household of her father, then residing in Clark County, Missouri. It is likely she passed in Adams County because all of the children are listed as born in Illinois. This is where Jacob B. Morris resided when they married evidenced by the 1840 census. A biographical source provided by her brother, George Buskirk, claimed both she and Jacob were deceased.
