== Biography == "Nicholas Poyntz, Esq., Sheriff of Gloucestershire was born circa 1390 ... of Iron Acton, Tockington, Swell, Nympsfield, Winston, & Elkstone, Gloucestershire, England; An adult in 1411. He married Elizabeth Mill, daughter of Sir Thomas Mill and Juliana le Rous, circa 1427; They had 2 sons (John, Esq; & Humphrey, Esq.). Nicholas Poyntz, Esq., Sheriff of Gloucestershire married Elizabeth Hussey, daughter of Sir Henry Hussey and Constance, before 17 September 1450; Probably married much earlier. They had 4 sons (Thomas, Maurice, Nicholas, & Henry) and 4 daughters (Alice; Elizabeth, a nun; Margaret, wife of John Lisle; & Joan, wife of William Doddington). Nicholas Poyntz, Esq., Sheriff of Gloucestershire left a will in May 1456.
