== Biography ==Joan (Trussell) de WhitneyPlantagenet Ancestry (#Richardson-PA)::}Joan is a descendant of one of the Illustrious Men, William Longespée.Douglas Richardson. Royal Ancestry: A Study in Colonial and Medieval Families, 5 vols, ed. Kimball G. Everingham (Salt Lake City: the author, 2013), volume I, page 354 BEVAN 13.
:Joan (Juliane, Jennet, Jenet, Janetfrom merged profiles), daughter of Sir William Trussell and his wife Margery Ludlow, married Eustace Whitney (born c. 1411). They had one son: Robert Whitney.Plantagenet Ancestry, Vol 1, p 265 (#Richardson-PA)
:Jenet (Trussell) de Whitney died 1441 in Whitney, Herefordshire, England.from Trussell-154, Trussell-61; Eustace was "aged 30 in 1441" (#Richardson-PA), which I had assumed was from a 1441 IPM for his father, but his father's IPM (according to HOP) was 1443. Did women have IPMs? If so, perhaps the 1441 date came from Joan/Jenet's IPM (which matches this profile giving just 1441 as date of death). If not, and the 1441 date was from another IPM, then Joan's date of death should be either before or after 1441, depending on whether or not she was mentioned as living (Noland-165, Oct. 21, 2015)

:Eustace married (2) Joan Clifford and died 1480/1.

=== Magna Carta Project ===: At some point, the Magna Carta Project may expand to include trails from the Illustrious Men, but it hasn't yet. In order to support PPP for Joan, however, the project's "pending trail development" project box was added to her profile ("No Trail" just did not seem right). ~ Noland-165 13:55, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
