Received Hubbard's Hall in Harlow, Essex from his uncle [[Reeve-1863|Francis Reeve (abt.1561-1640)]]Essex Archaeological Society. Transactions of the Essex Archaeological Society. Colchester, Eng.: Published by the Society at the Museum in the Castle, ser.2 v.11 (1909-10). Pgs. [https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.b3084501&view=1up&seq=547&q1=mounden 359-360]. This occurred several years, 1640 or later, after the Visitations of Essex, which is why he isn't listed as living at Hubbard's Hall at that time.
== Research Notes ==The Visitations of Essex doesn't list a spouse for Robert, but does refer to him as "of Romford.", while Family Search has a Colchester, Essex marriage record for Ann Gilman in 1619. This would connect Robert with his grandfather William and great-grandfather Thomas, who both lived in Colchester for extended periods, but it's not known in 2020 if there were any remaining family in Colchester when Robert supposedly was married there. Family Search does not show any other record of a Robert Reeve being married in Essex between 1600-1620, and while not definitive this does reduce the known and possible marriage records significantly.

In addition, there's another Robert born to a Robert Reeves in Lambourne, Essex in 1643"England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NRMQ-W2Z : 21 March 2020), Robert Reeve in entry for Robert Reeve, 1643.. If in fact that's the same Robert born in Colchester in 1620, and since Lambourne is less than 10 miles from Romford it is very likely, then we would have four generations of Robert Reeves, the last three being the first-born sons all born in Essex.
None of the birth records give the spouse's names.
