==Biography==
"John Berney, Esq., Commissioner of Sewers for Norfolk was born circa 1510 at of Reedham & Langley, Norfolk, England; Age 18 in 1528. He married Margaret Reade, daughter of William Reade, Esq. and Margaret Tooley, circa 1539; They had 3 sons (Henry, Esq; Thomas; & Robert) & daughter (Mary, wife of William Denny, Esq; Thomasine, wife of Thomas Osborn, Esq; Elizabeth; Ursula; & Ela). John Berney, Esq., Commissioner of Sewers for Norfolk left a will on 22 July 1553; Requested burial at Reedham, Norfolk. PS However, the sources appear to be wrong. Richardson followed Blomefield, but Blomefield apparently misdated the IPM as 28 Henry VIII instead of 20 Henry VIII (or it could be just a misprint)
