Ferquhard Mackintosh, 5th of Mackintosh was the son of Shaw Mackintosh, 4th of Mackintosh.He died in 1265, killed in a duel.
The MacGillivrays put themselves under his protection and joined themselves to the Mackintosh Clan. He was chosen to lead the Badenoch people against the Norwegians on behalf of King Alexander III. He lived at Rothiemurchus, Scotland.
