Muriel Grant
(1443 - Abt 1472)
== Biography ==
Muriel Grant is stated, by the Leslie family historian, to be the daughter of Sir Donald [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Grant Grant of Freuchie]], a regional Highland chieftain.[[#S-26]] Leslie, Charles Joseph; Volume 3 page 15 for all information This information is incorrect as there was no Donald Grant, Laird of Freuchie. There was a Sir Duncan Grant, inherited the lands from his mother, Matilda of Glencarnie, and was raised 1st of Freuchie in 1453.[[#S-5]] Sir James Balfour Paul; Vol 7, page 456 It seems probable that it is he being referred to. He is stated to have had one son and three daughters, one of which, Muriel, married Patrick Leslie of Balquhain, and had issue. She died c. 1472.[[#S-27]]Fraser, Sir William, Vol 1, page 500
