== Biography ==Nicholas was born after 1536. He is the son of [[Sutherland-802|William Sutherland]] and [[Stewart-7436|Elizabeth Stewart]].
In 1566 Nicholas was living at Berriedale in Caithness which became the seat of the Sutherland of Berriedale family.
