Janet was born about 1531. Entered by Charles Walter, Apr 22, 2013
She passed away in 1587. “This is the supulcre of Johe Hay of Lochloy, who departed in the year of God 1563, and of Isobel Dundar his spous, who diet in the yeair of God 155-; and also Johne Hay of Lochloy, Laird of Park, his son, diet in the moneth of Januar, in the yeair of God 1598, and of Janet Sutherland his spous, who diet in the moneth of Januar, in the year of God 1587, parentis to Master Alexander Hay of Kinnoudie.”
Janet Sutherland, daughter of William Sutherland of Duffus, married John Hay of Lochloy and Park; he died 1598, she died 1587, and their remains were interred at Auldearn, with an inscription still to be seen on a monument in the chancel of the catherdral of that town. They left children:
i. John Hay, died in the life of his father. m.1571 dau Hugh Rose of Kilravock, and left three sons:--1. John Hay of Lochloy d.s. 1600 2.David Hay m.Marie Rose of Kilravock…3.Robert Hay of Strowie and Park
ii. George Hay son John grandson David of Lochloy and Park
iii. Mr. Alexander Hay of Kinnudie, who married Elizabeth Munro, and left a son Walter Hay
