== Biography ==
*Jan van Egmond overleed den 4den Januarij 1451. Zijn leven was gekenmerkt door groote onrust, en zijne regering over Egmond door groote twisten met de abten der Abdij. Hij werd te Egmond begraven, en zijn zoon deed hem ter eere eene metalen graftombe vervaardigen. Zijne gemalin, Maria van Arkel, die in 1415 overleed, schonk hem twee zonen:
