:William was still living when an agreement was confirmed by James II for a marriage contract between William's son John and a daughter of Gilbert, Lord Kennedy dated 12 Apr 1459. He witnessed a charter to Rogert Cathcart and Christian Lockhart on 14 Oct 1488.
