Janet Boyd is the daughter of [[Boyd-243|Sir Thomas Boyd, 5th of Kilmarnock]]. She married Sir John Maxwell of Calderwood, son of Sir John Maxwell, 5th of Calderwood and 1st of Newark and Margaret Borthwick. Her married name became Maxwell. She was also known as Marion.
