:16 Jun 1425 in Irvine: [[Montgomerie-92|Sir John Montgomery]] and his wife Elizabeth Eglinton entered into an indenture with [[Cunningham-2612|Sir Robert of Cunningham]] to bring about a cessation of the feuding between the two families. [[Cunningham-2612|Sir Robert of Cunningham]] was then the Lord of Kilmaurs and allowed himself to be obliged to marry [[Montgomerie-91|"Anny of Mungumry]], the dochtyr of Schir Ione of Mungumry, and to gyfe to the said Anny joynt fieftment of twenty merkis worth of his Mudir landis; and gife it hapynnys the said Schir Robert and Anny hafand sonnys of lyfe, the joynt feftment beand of na value," Page 86; Metcalfe, W. M.. "The County of Renfrew." A history of the county of Renfrew from the earliest times. Paisley: A. Gardner, 1905. . Print. Which states that [[Cunningham-2612|Sir Robert of Cunningham]] is entitled to receive annually from [[Montgomerie-92|Sir John Montgomery]] the sum of 300 merks and 40 pounds out of the lands of Eastwood and Lochleboside for marrying Anny. The document continues to state what would happen if one of them were to die before being wed; which is that [[Cunningham-2612|Sir Robert of Cunningham]] is to restore what he had taken in expectation of the marriage.
