=== Notes ===This man's wife was probably the heiress of Skelmorley and of Giffen because he received or had acquired these two property's and gave them to his sons after his first wife's death shown by his marriage to his second wife about the same time as these grants to his sons this Agnes was probably of the sannox in Island of arran as George his grandson received a grant of property there in 1469 (Montgomeries Earls of Eglington page 431, vol 2 page 21)
