}Sir Robert Stuart (or Stewart), 4th Seigneur d'Aubigny (c.1470-1543) was the son of John Stuart, 10th/1st Earl of Lennox and Margaret Montgomerie. He m.(1) Anne Stuart, Comtesse de Beaumont-le-Roger, daughter of Bernard Stuart, 3rd Seigneur d'Aubigny and Anne de Maumont, Comtesse de Beaumont-le-Roger, circa 1499. He married, secondly, Jacqueline de la Queuille, daughter of François de la Queuille, Seigneur de la Queuille and Marguerite de Castelnau, aft 1527.Cawley, C. (n.d.) Medieval Lands v. 4. Like his ancestors, he was a soldier who fought for the Kings of France in the ''Garde Écossaise''. He succeeded to the title of 4th Seigneur d'Aubigny through his marriage to his cousin Anne Stuart (or Stewart), daughter of his cousin Bernard Stuart (or Stewart), 3rd Lord of Aubigny.
