== Biography ==On 30th June 1425 Henry Forestare, son of Sir John Forestare of Corstorphine, Knt., ''camerarii Scotie'', had a charter from Robert de Cunninghame of Kilmauris, Knt., of the lands of Incherathryne and the Oxgangs in the barony of Rubea Aula, Sheriffdom of Edinburgh, which John Whytyne, Burgess of Edinburgh, had resigned.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.25, confirmed at Edinburgh 28th October, 1425.
Also in 1425 Henry Forestare, son of Sir John Forestare of Corstorphine, Knt., ''camerarii Scotie'', had a charter to himself and his heirs of a tenement of land in the burgh of Edinburgh.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.23, confirmed at Edinburgh 28th July 1425.
The Crown confirmed, on 23rd February 1425, a feu charter to Henry Forstare, son of Sir John Forstare of Corstorphine, Knt., the lands of Kilbabirtoun, Sheriffdom of Edinburgh, which William de Crawfurd, Knt., personally resigned.The Great Seal of Scotland, no.33.
On 29th October 1425 Henry Forestare, son of Sir John Forestare of Corstorphine, Knt., ''camerarii Scotie'', had a feu charter from John de Prestoun of Gortoun of the lands of Achindeny and Ankrilaw in the barony of Gortoun, Edinburghshire.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.26, confirmed at Edinburgh 28th October 1425.
In late 1426 Henry Forestar and Helen, daughter of John de Fairlie of Braid, had a charter of the lands of Bavilly in Edinburghshire, which John had resigned.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.74, confirmed 8th January 1426/7.
In Parliament in Perth in 1430/1 Sir John Forstare of Corstorphine, Knt., ''camerario Scotia'' resigned his properties for an entail to be set down naming his heirs after his death as John Forstare, his "son and heir", and legitimate male heirs, failing whom '''Henry Forstare''', brother, and his heirs etc., failing which to Thomas Forstare, brother of the said John the father, and his heirs etc.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.186, confirmed at Perth on 4th February 1430/1.
The Crown confirmed a charter on 28th January 1459/60 to John Forster [sic] son and heir-apparent of Henry Forster of Niddry, and Elizabeth de Moray [Murray], his (John's) spouse, in lands of Dechment and Kilbabirtoune, which said Henry has resigned for a regrant.''The Great Seal of Scotland'' no,743.
Henry Forster [sic] of Niddry was a witness to a charter of Alexander, Lord Montgomery to David Liddle of the lands of Pilton, Edinburgh, on 23rd September 1465.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.854.
Henry Forster [sic] of Niddry and John Forestar his son, Gilbert Forestar of Drilaw, William Forestar are among the witnesses to an ecclesiastical charter which mentions Sir Alexander Forstare of Corstorphine, Knt., and Archibald Forstare, Lord of Corstorphine, dated at Corstorphine 20th September 1473.''The Great Seal of Scotland'' no.1320, confirmed 22nd October 1477.
Henry Forstar [sic] of Niddry and his son John are included in a long list of annual rents due in Edinburgh to The Church, dated 3rd July 1478.''The Great Seal of Scotland'', no.1400. (This relates to ownerships of properties.)
Unable to locate a charter of Niddry to Henry, although it was one of his father Sir John's estates.
