== Biography ==Janet was born in 1442, the daughter of Alexander Gordon 1st Earl of Huntly and the daughter of the Cumming Laird of Altyre known as the "Fair Maid of Moray".
Janet married Sir James Innes of Innes, 12th of that Ilk. It is probable that she died as a result of childbirth given that she died in 1473, the year her daughter Janet was born.
