Burial of Ada, wife of John Fitz Robert:
She is believed to have been buried at the medieval Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Stokesley, Hambleton, North Yorkshire, much of which still exists. Her maritagium included the barony of Stokesley, Yorkshire. In the summer of 1250, she had settled the manor of Stokesley, Yorkshire, and half of that barony, and the advowson of fifteen churches, and half the forest of Bedale, Yorkshire on her two younger sons, Robert and Hugh de Eure, Some months later they granted the manor of Stokesley back to her. She died July 29, 1251. (Royal Ancestry 2013 Vol. II p. 219-220)
