}
== Disputed Parentage ==It has been claimed, without evidence, that Maud was the daughter of [[Poyntz-20|Nicholas Poyntz]] of Curry Malet. This claim is not recognized in Weiss's [http://books.google.co.id/books?id=3F9nG8aFJ7MC&pg=PA211&lpg=PA211&dq=poyntz+curry+malet&source=bl&ots=9lu8lLNqDo&sig=3pgilvKcTRGokUy878xzcTCvO2Q&hl=en&sa=X&ei=juB0U4_bOYeRuAT2-oHgCA&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=poyntz%20curry%20malet&f=false Ancestral Roots], nor in Douglas Richardson's'' Magna Carta Ancestry'', so it is not recognized here at wikitree, unless supporting evidence can be found.
The following tantalizing clue was posted, with a defective source, at the [http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jweber&id=I11691&style=TEXT Phillips, Weber, Kirk, & Staggs families of the Pacific Northwest] website: "In the Court of Hustings London, Matilda Walraunt in her will of 11 Jun 1289 left to Matilda Poyntz, her neice, her messuage in London. This Matilda Poyntz married Matthew de Loveyn (ob. 1302). In 1316 her daughter Alice sold the messuage. Matilda Walraunt, the widow of Robert Waleraund (ob. 1273) was the daughter of Ralph Russel of Derham, Gloucestershire. He also held lands in Dorset and Somerset. [Nigel Barker"
