[[Louvain-32|Thomas de Louvain]] was summoned in 1316 and later for military service against the Scots, and in 1321, was commissioned to disperse seditious meeting in Essex, and to raise troops. He was on the King's side at the battle of Boroughbridge, 16 Mar 1321/2.
In 1324, he was described as a knight, and summoned to attend the Great Council at Westminster. In 1325, he was going on pilgrimage to Santiago.
He was excused from military service in Scotland in May 1335, but in 1336, was one of those appointed to guard the ports of Essex against a threatened attack by the Scots.© Nancy López
