Frank Law TERRELL

(8 May 1940 - 22 Mar 2010)

Frank Law Terrell, 69, died Monday, March 22, 2010, in a local hospital with his loved ones at his side.
A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Frank was born to Roland Law and Margaret Elizabeth Barry Terrell. He was a 1959 graduate of Lake Charles High School and attended McNeese State University. After 31 1/2 years of service, he retired in 1996 as supervisor from Olin Chemicals, which later became BioLab.
Frank was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a die-hard LSU Tiger fan and head of “Funk Frank’s” Fantasy Football League. He also loved golf, bowling, softball and tennis. He was the 1963 Lake Charles city singles bowling champion. During his service time in Korea (1963-1965), he was a member of the 8th Army Bowling Team. He played slow-pitch softball for the Olin Industrial Softball League (1972-1980), winning not only state and regional titles, but the national championship in Salt Lake City. He was a nineyear board member and past president of Mallard Cove MGA. He was especially proud of his eight holes-inone. Frank also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. His greatest joy, however, was found in following his grandchildren and watching them play sports.
Frank is survived by one daughter, Leslie Michelle Harrington and husband Maury; his longtime friend and loving companion, Rosemary Mosca; three grandchildren, Brittany Pousson and Haileigh and Hayden Harrington, all of Lake Charles; three sisters, Mary Lou Covington and husband Payton of Lake Charles, Barbara Trice of Shreveport and Linda Kay Dowies of Westlake; and Lena Mosca, a special friend he loved as a second mother.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Anita Allee Terrell; one brother, Benson Barry Terrell; his parents; and his stepfather, Fred M. Heard Jr.
