Mrs. Nora Prater,
Mrs Nora Prater, 81, West Lafayette Route 1, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday in Guernsey Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, where she had been a patient four weeks.
Born April 6, 1890, in Boone, N.C., she was a daughter of George and Mary Green. On Dec. 24, 1916, she was married to Columbus Prater, who died Jan. 27, 1967.
Mrs. Prater was a member of Valley View Baptist Church here.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Nesselrode, Coshocton Route 4; Mrs. Don Nesselrode, Canton; Opal Prater, of the home, and Mrs. Virgil Barker, Clarksburg, W.Va.; two sons, Luther, of West Lafayette, and Andrew, of Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Watson, Deep Gap N.C.; Mrs.Clarence Behling, Columbus, and Mrs. Mattie Bennett, Akron; four brothers,, Glenn Green, Coshocton Route 4; Jerome Green, Dublin, W.Va., and Justin Green, New Philadelphia; 36 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and one great-great granchild. Four sons, brother and two sisters are deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Addy Funeral home here in charge of the Rev. Jimmie Robbins. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
