Viridis "Verde" Visconti

Viridis was born in Milan about 1350 to 1352, the daughter of Barnabo Visconti, lord of Milan, Bergamo, Cremona, Lodi and Bologna, and Beatrice della Scala. On 23 February 1365 in Milan she was married to Leopold III, duke of Austria and Styria, son of Albrecht II 'the Wise', duke of Austria and Johanna, Gräfin von Pfirt. Viridis and Albrecht had six children of whom two sons, Ernst I ('the Iron') and Friedrich IV, would have progeny. She died before 11 March 1414 in Sittich, Carinthia.
