Biography

Daughter of Alessandro de Bardi, count of Vernio, and Emilia Pannochiesi, Contessina in about 1416 married Cosimo 'Pater Patrie' de' Medici, son of Giovanni di Bicci de'Medici and Piccarda (Nannina) Bueri. They had two sons, Piero and Giovanni, who would both have progeny. Contessina died after 1464, possibly in 1473.
