Dies 20 Days After Husband
Mrs. Elizabeth Troxell Shorb, 70, widow of Joshua F. Shorb, died Monday afternoon at her home in Liberty township at 3 o'clock from the effects of a paralytic stroke she suffered a week ago.
Her husband died September 20.
The deceased was a native of Carroll county, having been born near Taneytown. She was a daughter of the late Abraham and Isabelle** (Welty) Troxell. She belonged to the Grace Reformed church of Taneytown.
Surviving are three sons: Alvey S. Shorb, near Emmitsburg; Gerald B. Shorb, Thurmont, Maryland and Maurice F. Shorb, East Berlin; four grandchildren and two brothers: Fred D. Troxell and William H. Troxell, Emmitsburg.
Funeral services Thursday afternoon at l:30 o'clock from the S.L. Allison funeral home in Emmitsburg with the Rev. Guy P. Brady, Grace Reformed paster, officiating. Interment in Mountain View cemetery at Emmitsburg.
The pallbearers on Thursday were Cecil Dunbar, Charles Overholtzer, Earl Adams, Harrison Mort, Charles Gulden and Roy Baker.
