Daughter of John J. Welty and his wife, Mary Ann. Wife of Abraham Troxell; married 8 April 1865 at Thurmont, Maryland. Mother of William Henry Troxell, Elizabeth Troxell Shorb and Frederick Daniel Troxell. Sister of Josephine E., Frances S., and John Isaac Welty.

Emmitsburg, June 1 - Mrs. Isabella A. Troxell, a life-long resident of this place, died here Friday about 11 o'clock. She was the daughter of Mr. John J. Welty, also of this place, and was born October 8, 1844. Her father was in the clock and watch repairing business. She survived by two sons, William H. and Frederick, both of this place, and one daughter, Mrs. Joshua Shorb, of near this place. Her son, William H. Troxell was for a number of years editor and proprietor of the Emmitsburg Chronicle, and her son, Frederick, is employed in the barber shop of Mr. Cyril Rotering, of this place. Mrs. Troxell had been ill for about two years and dropsy developed about six months ago, following her lingering illness. She lived on Gettysburg street with her son, Frederick and family
