Wayne N. Alleman, 79, of 6718 Olde Scotland Road, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25, 2003, at the home of his daughter, Cynthia A. (Mrs. John B.) Flood of 4291 Mont Alto Road, Waynesboro, where he resided since March.Born Dec. 15, 1923, in Roxbury, he was a son of the late John Kelso and Elizabeth Wyrick Alleman.He was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church and its Men's Bible Class.Mr. Alleman was retired from dairy farming. For 12 years he was a Southampton Township, Franklin County, road supervisor. He was a former member of the Southampton Township, Franklin County, planning commission.A member and former director of Franklin County Farm Bureau, he was a member of Shippensburg Adult Farmers Association and Shippen Squares square dance group. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting.In addition to his daughter Cynthia, surviving are his wife of 55 years, Thelma Gephart Alleman; another daughter, Jill L. Dunmire of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Jessica E. Flood, Marcus W. Flood, Levi E. Dunmire, Shannon E. Dunmire and Noah E. Dunmire; a brother, Melvin (husband of Mildred) of Shippensburg; and three sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. Clair) Whistler of Shippensburg and Sara (Mrs. George) Kipe and Esther (Mrs. Marlin) Pisle, both of Chambersburg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Maggie L. Dunmire, on Aug. 21; six brothers and a half sister.Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Prince Street United Brethren Church. The Revs. James Bolich and Garry Culler will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., 112 W. King St., and one hour before Wednesday's service in the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Prince Street United Brethren Church, 17 N.
