Rev Ronald J Fannon, married Jane and Rodney, here is his obituaryEvening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Sun 10 Dec 1954:"CHEVERLY. Md.-Rev. Ronald J. Fannon, 49, a native of Mt. Savage, diedyesterday in his sleep at the rectory of St. Ambrose Catholic Church ofwhich he was pastor. Father Fannon had gone to his room to rest andsometime later he was called but did not respond. Death was attributedto natural causes and he had not complained of being ill. He was a sonof the late Michael and the late Bertha (Farrell) Fannon. He attendedSt. Patrick's School, Mt. Savage, and studied for the priesthood at St.Charles College and St. Mary's Seminary, Baltimore, from where he wentto North American College, Rome, to complete his theological studies.After his ordination in Rome in 1932, he returned to the United Statesand celebrated his first solemn high mass at St. Patrick's CatholicChurch in Mt. Savage. Father Fannon was then appointed assistant pastorat The Shrine of the Sacred Heart, Washington, where he remained untilhis appointment as pastor of St. Ambrose Church, Cheverly. A nephew ofthe late Msgr. John Fannon he is survived by his stepmother, Mrs.Nellie (Malloy) Fannon, Mt. Savage; a brother Edgar J. Fannon,Washington; two sisters, Mrs. John Crowe and Mrs. Walter J. Martin,both of Mt. Savage, and two cousins Rev. Thomas Fannon, Baltimore andRev. Robert Fannon, Youngstown. Ohio. A solemn high mass will becelebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose after which the bodywill be taken to St. Patrick's Church, Mt. Savage. Another solemn highmass will be held there Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St.Patrick's Cemetery."Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Tue 14 Dec 1954:"MT.
