Catherine Rice

On January 3, 1860, Catherine R. Rice married G. W. Leisher. in Loysville, Perry County. Rev. G. M. Settlemoyer, pastor of the Loysville Lutheran Charge performed the ceremony.
They had seven children. Besides those listed below they were: William Loy (b. 11/6/1862, d. 1/13/1942); Union Victor (b. 5/15/1865, d. 10/22/1936); Charles Albert (b. 4/7/1867, d. 12/22/1935); John Edgar (b. 2/25/1870, d. 1/29/1938), Luther L. (b. 10/27/1873, d. 3/7/1947) and Rose Catherine Hippard (b. 6/8/1885, d. 7/4/1950).
At variance from her tombstone, a review of her death certificate discloses that she died 12/6/1919 and was buried here 12/8/1919.
Their tombstone is inscribed, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith."
